Four first-round games were played Thursday during the second day of the 2022 Mingua Beef Jerky Girls’ Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament in Rupp Arena.
Bowling Green, Cooper, Clark County and Sacred Heart punched their tickets to Friday’s quarterfinals with first-round victories, joining the four teams that won their openers Wednesday — Meade County, Bullitt East, Southwestern and Franklin County.
Four quarterfinal games are lined up for Friday. Below is a recap of Wednesday’s and Thursday’s events in Lexington.
