The 151st Kentucky Derby is scheduled for a post time of 6:57 p.m. Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, and official betting on the race began Wednesday.
Santa Anita Derby winner Journalism was established as the favorite in the morning-line odds, but Sandman and Rodriguez — before he was scratched Thursday — were also early frequent betting targets.
The 2025 Kentucky Derby will be shown live Saturday on NBC, with coverage beginning on USA at noon and shifting to NBC at 2:30 p.m.
