Jay Ungar and Molly Mason thriving with a travelogue of song

The traditional folk duo of Jay Ungar and Molly Mason became rock stars in the folk world more than two decades ago when Ungar’s haunting fiddle tune “Ashokan Farewell” became the theme to Ken Burns’ hit documentary series, “The Civil War.” Their first visit to the Bluegrass since then reunites Mason with one of her early influences: Lily Mae Ledford, in the form of her granddaughter, who will join Ungar and Mason for a few tunes Friday night.
