The University of Kentucky football team defeated the Miami University RedHawks, 37-13, at Kroger Field in Lexington on Saturday night in the 2022 season opener for both teams.

The Wildcats are now 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the Southeastern Conference. Miami (Ohio) is 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

Kentucky returns to action Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. (ESPN) when it visits the Florida Gators in Gainesville.
