First post for Saturday’s 14-race card was 11 a.m. The Kentucky Derby, the day’s 12th race, went off around 7 p.m. Sovereignty, with 7-1 odds at post time, won the race for trainer Bill Mott, with jockey junior Alvarado aboard.
