Margaritas
Who’s doing margaritas to go? The better question might be who isn’t. All the Mexican restaurants in town are offering a version, with variations. Some have specialty flavors, some have tiny tequila bottles on the side, some sell by the gallon.
Try Agave and Rye, Banners, Chuy’s, Corto Lima (try the prickly pear), Durango’s, El Charro, El Cid (margaritas by the gallon), El Gran Tako, El Rancho Tapatio, Girlsgirlsgirls Burritos (has kits for making a batch at home), Mi Mexico, Mi Pequena Hacienda, Papi’s, Selma’s Catering, Zim’s Cafe (get a flight of four different flavors for $20) and many more.
Micheladas
Margaritas aren’t the only drink at Mexican restaurants. Check out the micheladas at El Gran Tako and at El Rancho Tapatio (this version comes with bite-sized ceviche on top). There’s also the cantarito with fresh grapefruit, orange and lime.
