Takeout dining guide: Top sushi restaurants for curbside or delivery in Lexington

Aqua Sushi

Aqua Sushi, part of the Bluegrass Hospitality Group which also includes Malone’s, Drake’s and Harry’s, is open with a limited menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for curbside pick-up and delivery. bluegrasshospitality.com/aquasushi/

Buddha Lounge

Buddha Lounge is to sushi what tapas are to Spanish cuisine. The Bento boxes are especially popular at this Asian fusion restaurant. Open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Asuka Japanese Steak House & Sushi

Asuka claims to have the largest sushi bar in Lexington with nearly 100 options, and the good news is they have a weekly Wednesday special where sushi is $2 off. Be sure to check their hours as they vary daily. facebook.com/asukasteakhouse

Miyako Sushi & Steak House

Can’t decide between sushi and hibachi-grilled meats. At Miyako, you don’t have to. With the full menu still being offered, you can get both. Tomo

A mainstay of Japanese cuisine in Lexington, Tomo offers sushi for pick-up only. Hours for take-out are Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Osaka Japanese Restaurant

Located in a strip small on Lexington’s South Side, Osaka is small but mighty, with more than 50 chef special sushi rolls. This small restaurant located in the Beaumont area has been referred to by many as a hidden gem. They fly in their fish from two Japanese markets every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, ensuring the ultimate in freshness.
